LIDO-LANG gains recognition in “Mom at Work”

LIDO-LANG Technical Translations has been awarded a prize in the “Mom at Work” contest. The aim of the competition, organised by an independent community foundation, is to reward companies and institutions who are friendly to present and future mothers. The prize, on behalf of LIDO-LANG, was collected by Natalia Betleja-Gruca, Operations Manager and mom of Hania, as well as by Anna Trzupek, Quality Assurance Manager and mom of little Asia.

The contest evaluated the employer’s attitude towards working moms and the company’s efforts to create a friendly environment enabling the reconciliation of work and parental responsibilities. The initiative to participate in the contest was taken by LIDO-LANG’s female employees, who also sent applications themselves.

LIDO-LANG Technical Translations is aware of its responsibility towards both the employees and the environment in which it operates. Creating favourable conditions for the employees to be able to reconcile their work and family lives is a core component of the company’s internal policy. LIDO-LANG also pursues community involvement: it is the sponsor of the Józef Nedoma scholarship for the students of Comprehensive Secondary School No. 1 in Cracow and supports the organisation of SLOT Fest, a Cracow independent festival of East cultures.

The “Mom at Work” contest is organised by Fundacja Świętego Mikołaja (Saint Nicholas Foundation), the “Rzeczpospolita” daily, and the research agency MillwardBrown SMG/KRC. The competition was held for the fourth time, and among the previous laureates there are IKEA, Hewitt Associates Sp. z o.o, and Nike Poland Sp. z o.o.
